The SATurday Market

Hey everyone!

I am taking the initiative to bring like-minded people in Calgary and Southern Alberta together to create a flourishing circular Bitcoin economy. I have been living on Bitcoin since 2020 and love the idea of being completely self sovereign with the fruits of my labor. If there's anything we've learned in Canada over the past couple years, it's that the money in your bank account isn't really yours!

WHAT IS THE SAT MARKET?
The Saturday SAT market aims to be a monthly event where local businesses and people come together in a place where they can support each other by buying/selling goods and services for both Bitcoin and cash.

WHERE IS IT?
The White Diamond Conference Center, Downtown Calgary, in Chinatown.

WHAT IS A SAT?
A Sat is the smallest unit of a Bitcoin - each Bitcoin has 100,000,000 sats. Given that Bitcoin's value continues to go up, many people now denominate things in sats, and that unit will have increasing relevance as time goes on.

WHY CASH AS WELL?
Because many self sovereign individuals are just Bitcoiners in training! Collectively we can ensure that every vendor there is capable of accepting BTC, but they can also trade it p2p for cash at the end of the event if they like.

HOW CAN YOU HELP?
What we truly need is people offering goods and services. Do you make something? Do you have a skill? Do you know a sovereignty-minded person that isn't a bitcoiner yet but loves the idea of peer to peer local markets? Reach out to me at contact@btcsessions.ca so I can get you involved.
